Andi Lyn Kornfeld is a New York State Licensed Psychotherapist in full time independent practice. Andi has several years of clinical experience working with patients in a variety of settings. In addition to achieving an advanced certificate in Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Institute of Psychoanalytic Education, affiliated with NYU Medical School. Andi has progressed to be a Senior Candidate in Training, Adult Psychoanalysis, at this APSAa member institute. Upon successful completion of her candidacy, Andi will obtain a second New York State clinical license as a Licensed Psychoanalyst.
Andi has extensive pre-and post-graduate training in individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. After completion of her clinical training at St. Luke’s Psychiatry Department, Andi joined the staff at St. Mark’s Institute of Mental Health, where she treated individuals and families. In addition, she was the clinician for the US Probation Department’s Re-Entry Program, treating individuals, families, and conducting group therapy to lower rates of recidivism of non-violent offender participants before stepping down to dedicate herself to private practice full time.
Prior to Andi’s post-graduate clinical training, she spent over fifteen years as a Senior Leader in Financial Services, primarily Capital Markets. Andi brings a vast and deep knowledge of the vicissitudes of career and executive life to her practice and finds that it enables her to best work with all that seek her expertise.
In her psychotherapy practice, Andi specializes in working with people who are committed to relieving their emotional difficulties through self-exploration under the guidance of a highly trained professional. Andi specializes in working with adults who have a wide variety of emotional problems such as anxiety, depression, work difficulties, troubled relationships, sexual concerns, and issues of self-esteem.
